Perfect place for our 3 nights of deer hunting. We usually bring our camper to lease but decided to give this a try. So glad we did. The Vineyard Suite provided a very comfy king bed and great full size bath. Sitting room with day bed was great for extra space. Mae was available for anything we were needing and a very quiet hostess. Our schedule, unfortunately, did not allow for breakfast. We will be staying again. Thanks again Mae.
Calm, clean and quiet are the first things that come to mind from this place. It feels a lot more homey then other places. and the bathrooms where clean as a whistle, which is a really big thing for me. The beds are gigantic, and super soft and warm! Plus I really liked the custom murals that the owner painted in each room. The people who run the bed and breakfast are some of the sweetest people, and I really enjoyed my stay. Highly recommend it.
Debbie and I really enjoyed staying at Aunt M's Illustrated Inn. The bed was so comfortable and the murals on the bedroom walls were beautiful. We stayed in the Lonesome Dove room with Woodrow Call, aka Tommy Lee Jones keeping watch over us. We got to view one other bedroom and the walls were fantastic. And when you go downstairs to the kitchen, it too is painted from the bottom all the way up and the ceiling is painted too. The screened in sitting porch on the upstairs level was great also, you can sit out there and relax and is a great spot to read a book or the local paper. We will definitely be looking to return for another weekend stay real soon and maybe we can try a different room too. Mae is a terrific host and served up some delicious breakfasts.
My two friends and I stayed here Sunday over memorial day weekend to get out of our rained out campsite. The owner was amazing, we quickly booked over the phone. We had a beautiful room with plenty of space ad a jacuzzi tub (the vineyard room). there was also a nice upstairs screened in patio where we had a few beers and watched the storm. The owner was super accommodating and even made breakfast special for my two friends that are vegan. Going to turn this place into a tradition. would recommend!
Went to San Saba for a birthday party and stayed at Aunt M's for the first time. I rented the entire place and was blown away. The house is beautiful with many antique pieces. Mae is warm and welcoming. The murals that she has painted throughout the house were amazing! Such a great artist. The rooms are so cozy,quiet and comfortable. The jacuzzi was so relaxing. Mae made the best breakfast! She made all the favorites, fresh fruit, bacon , sausage, eggs, biscuits and Louisiana toast was amazing! Mae our stay was just awesome! Thank You, aunt M
